Doll Wall Hanging #4

The Doll wall pieces have been created from recycled packaging from dolls that ColourPuff Girl collected in 2022-2024. ColourPuff Girl originally started collecting dolls to help her visualise all kinds of weeds and wonderful silhouettes. Doll fashion is extremely expressive inspires ColourPuff Girl to design from joy and whimsy. Each piece is one of a kind and from a treasured doll in ColourPuff Girl’s personal collection! 

ColourPuff Girl wanted 2025 to be a time of connecting with her special interests and trying new things. She has been saving packaging from toys and pop culture items for a long time and her goal was to keep these in circulation and make cute art for your walls out of them! Packaging is seen as disposable and a marketing strategy, but have you ever looked properly at some packaging… It’s art! It was such a joy to create these pieces which came from treasured items in ColourPuff World. The whacky post modern style of frame tugs at 2000’s nostalgia and coupled with textural yarn these recycled beauties will bring so much whimsy in to your home. In the future these will be little relics from 2025 and the beginning of ColourPuff World. A time where ColourPuff Girl was making art on a dime, learning to create more circular and recycled art whilst also celebrating special interests! It has been a year since Stardust came out on the runway at the Australian Wearable Arts Fashion Festival. “Stardust” dropped the mask and helped ColourPuff Girl embrace her queer autistic self in her art and this collection is a direct connection to the liberation of creating from autistic joy.

-Water resistant but not water proof. The cardboard has been water sealed but still cannot be put through the wash

- The benefit of recycled cardboard wall art is that they are very light weight and suitable for renters or people who can't put nails into the wall. These are easily hung up with bluetack or plastic hooks.
